Home: Wisdom for wandering natives

Home. Few words in the English language carry as much meaning and complexity as that one. And few concepts are as layered for the earth-bound human being who follows a heaven-oriented God.

In this series, we'll engage our intellects and emotions as we explore what Home is (and isn't), how it shapes us, and why all of that matters in our day-to-day lives.

(Oh--and don't forget to check out the mixtape we made for you on Spotify.)

PART 1: PLACE OF ORIGIN

Where are you from? Turns out, the answer's a bit more complex than we may realize. It's important to figure out, though, because if you want to know who you are, you need to know where you're from. In this message, we'll explore the concept of home and how it shapes our everyday lives.

PART 2: NOT THERE YET

That longing you feel? There's a name for it. Whether it's the deep ache in your heart brought on by grief or the strangely similar ache brought on by moments of great joy--it's symptomatic of one thing. You should know what that thing is, and why it's of great value to you.

PART THREE: FINALLY

What if one day, all of our heartache, all of our pain, all of our dying will be a thing of the past? What if one day, we'll finally be home?

PART 4: UNTIL THEN...

Anticipating an amazing homecoming is great, but what about now? What do we do in the meantime? Are there ways to pilgrim well?
