SERMON SERIES: THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO PAUL
PART 1: GROANING AND HOPING
What is the connection between hoping and groaning? In this message, guest speaker Randy Harris explores The Gospel According to Paul calling us as God’s people to enter into the habit of groaning in hope because of the redemptive work of Christ. We learn that this hope combats despair and is deeply rooted in God’s promise to crawl into all things and to work in all things.

PART 2: JESUS: GOD’S YES
In this message, Randy Harris explores Paul's simplest explanation of the Gospel which is by no means eloquent. In view of Paul's own experience of failure on his missionary journeys across Asia, Paul shares news to the Corinthians that is Good for the sum of us who feel incompetent in this life. With two words, Paul reminds us of our need to rely not on ourselves but on the God who raises the dead.

PART 3: WHEN EMPTY IS GOOD NEWS
What if we strove to think the way Jesus thought? This message explores the beautiful, upside down nature of the Gospel. A radically inclusive Gospel about a crucified Messiah who empties himself by taking the form of a slave in order to unify all people. Even more, this Messiah invites us to spend our life becoming who he has pronounced us to be: citizens of another world, the Kingdom of God.

PART 4: THE VIOLIN PLAYER AND THE DARK POWERS
As Christians, we have a tendency to think being a follower of Christ is about toughing it out with clenched fists as we try to be perfect and keep the dark powers at bay. A life driven by fear. What if I told you there was another way? What if I told you these dark powers and our desire for perfection has been nailed to the cross? In this message, Randy Harris reminds us of Paul's words to the Colossians which speak truth for us today. We are called to give up fear and to play along to the music of God's grace knowing the victory is won!
