SERMON SERIES: #FINDINGJOY
SERIES DESCRIPTION:
No matter our age or our gender or our marital status or our religious affiliation, there’s something inside of all us that wants to experience joy. Finding it, though, can be difficult...unless you look in the right places. In this series, we'll explore a few key things that will enable you to joyfully thrive amidst the chaos, monotony, and let-downs of life in the real world.
PART 1: GOOD WORK
Joy is counter-intuitive. Though many expect to find it in good, easy times, they find themselves disappointed. That's because joy isn’t found hardly as much in leisure as it is in something else--something that's harder, better, and that doesn't have all that much to do with us.
11/16/14 Speaker: Justin Gerhardt
PART 2: MEMORABLE SCENES
Want to know one of the greatest enemies of joy in your life? It's forgetfulness.
Here's what to do about that.
11/23/14 Speaker: Justin Gerhardt
PART 3: IT DOES(N'T) MATTER
If there’s one thing that will make or break the presence of joy in your life, it’s perspective. How you process the relative importance of the blessings, experiences, possessions, relationships, and hardships that make up your daily existence changes everything.
In this sermon, we’ll be challenged the extraordinary example of two people who learned to see small things as small and big things as big.
12/7/14 Speaker: Justin Gerhardt
PART 4: DIALOGUE
In this message, we close out the series by exploring one final thing that enables success in our quest for joy in life. That thing? Dialogue with God himself.
