General Information Re: Jinja

Established in 1901 and is the second commercial centre in Uganda.

Located in the south east of Uganda, 87 km north east of the capital, Kampala.

Situated on the shores of Lake Victoria, near to the source of the White Nile River.

Is the chief town of Jinja District and considered the capital of the Kingdom of Busoga.
History of the Church
-
1994 - The work started by a team of five families.
-
2004 - A new team of three families is formed (Manrys, Langfords and Bogles).
-
2004 - Rochester Church of Christ takes on sponsorship of the Bogles, while the Round Rock Church of Christ provides their work fund.
